The Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL) project is a transformative initiative aimed at addressing the devastating effects of land degradation and climate change in northern Nigeria. In Kebbi State, ACReSAL is working directly with communities to restore degraded landscapes, promote climate-smart agriculture, improve water and & land use and strengthen rural livelihoods.
Through inclusive partnerships, innovation, and community-driven approaches, ACReSAL is not only restoring the environment but also building resilience, creating jobs and enhancing food security in the state.
Kebbi State is participating in the ACReSAL project which is a multi-sectoral and multi-institutional scheme, covering Environment, Agriculture and Water. The project is to support the state combat desertification, restore degraded lands and special ecosystems for agriculture and biodiversity conservation.
